Main challenge is to identify and address critical needs of Black European Women and children, by raising public awareness both at the national and international level underlining the challenges faced by Black Communities across Europe ensuring that we are recognized on the agenda of the European Union.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #993300;\">CEDAW: Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination\u00a0 against Women<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/womenwatch\/daw\/cedaw\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">http:\/\/www.un.org\/womenwatch\/daw\/cedaw\/<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The inaugural session of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination\u00a0 against Women (CEDAW) was held at the United Nations Office at Vienna in October 1982. One of the major responsibilities of the Committee is to monitor States parties\u2019 compliance with their treaty obligations. The Committee discharges this responsibility in a constructive dialogue with representatives of the State party, based on a report the State submits in accordance with article 18 of the Convention. There are now 185 States parties to the Convention.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #993300;\">ECRI<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.coe.int\/ecri\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">www.coe.int\/ecri<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>ECRI is the body of the Council of Europe entrusted with the task of combating racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, antisemitism and intolerance in greater Europe from the perspective of the protection of human rights, in the light of the European Convention on Human Rights, its additional protocols and related case-law.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #993300;\">ENAR: European Network Against Racism<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.enar-eu.org\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">http:\/\/www.enar-eu.org\/<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The European Network Against Racism (ENAR) is an EU-wide network of more than 700 organisations working to combat racism in all the EU member states and acts as the voice of the anti-racist movement in Europe. ENAR is determined to fight racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, to promote equality of treatment between European Union citizens and third country nationals, and to link local\/regional\/national initiatives with European Union initiatives<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Equinet<\/strong>, <strong>the European Network of Equality Bodies<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.equineteurope.org\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">www.equineteurope.org<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Equinet brings together 38 organizations from 31 European countries, which are empowered to counteract discrimination as national equality bodies across the range of grounds including age, disability, gender, race or ethnic origin, religion or belief, and sexual orientation.\u00a0 Equinet works to enable national equality bodies to achieve and exercise their full potential by sustaining and developing a network and a platform at European level.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #993300;\">FRA: European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fra.europa.eu\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">www.fra.europa.eu<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) is an advisory body of the European Union. It was established in 2007 by a legal act of the European Union and is based in Vienna, Austria.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #993300;\">ProJob<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-job.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">www.pro-job.org<\/span><\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Since 1990 PROJOB was involved in promoting economic and social independence and e-quality from a human rights perspective, taking into consideration all categories mentioned in Article 13 of the EU Treaty of Amsterdam. Het netwerk lobbyt voor de verbetering van de positie van vrouwen en het tegengaan van geweld tegen vrouwen. Op de website van het WAVE netwerk staat een overzicht van alle deelnemende organisaties en meer informatie.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #993300;\">WIDE: Women In Development Europe<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wide-network.org\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">www.wide-network.org<\/span><\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Women In Development Europe (WIDE) is a European feminist network of women\u00b4s organisations, development NGOs, gender specialists and women\u00b4s rights activists.<\/p>\n<p>WIDE monitors and influences international economic and development policy and practice from a feminist perspective.
